See Blake Lively’s Weird Texts From Aziz Ansari

Blake Lively is currently expecting a child with husband Ryan Reynolds, but when she wasn’t attached to Reynolds, there was another star trying to make it happen with Lively. It was none other that Parks and Recreation star Aziz Ansari.

Aziz Ansari went on The Howard Stern Show recently and revealed these odd texts that he sent which dated back to 2011. He built up the texts with a story about their first meeting. Following their initial meeting, Aziz started to send the Gossip Girl star multiple texts, most which went ignored.

“If you’re a comedian people are very friendly. I was at some event and I heard that Blake Lively was a fan. I went to this event and she was waving at me. I said hello, and we talked for a little while. We started talking about stuff and exchanged phone numbers.”

Then he proceeded to read the texts out for Howard and Robin.

April 31, 2011: “Hey, it’s Aziz. The Animal Dinners are over now unfortunately, but I will show you photos from when I went. It was very tasty. Are you going to the Met Ball?”

Aziz explained to Howard that the Animal Dinners is a restaurant in LA but at the time they were doing dinners in New York. Luckily for Aziz, Blake was going to be at the Met Ball, even though she didn’t text him back saying she was attending.

Ansari said he saw her at the Met with Karl Lagerfeld and decided to send her a text at the event.

“Hey, it’s Aziz. Please tell Karl [Lagerfeld] he needs to call me, it’s been too long since we bro’d out.”

Radio silence. Then Ansari saw Lively again and decided to send yet another random text.

“I’m going to the Boom Boom Room for that afterparty. Hopefully this is your number? Either way, good seeing you.”

Looking back at the texts, the Parks and Recreation star said, “And that’s just so sad, that I’m questioning the technology.”

Finally Blake Lively got back to Aziz Ansari after a century.

“Hey, maybe I’ll see you. So weird, Karl was just saying how bummed he was to miss you.”

The next text from Aziz comes the following day, and it’s a doozy.

“I feel so bad you had to fly to North Carolina after that party. It must’ve been rough. Karl and I partied at Boom Boom until 7 a.m. Got tacos the next day after and just had a beautiful spa day. Next time we are in the same city, let’s eat delicious food.”

Although Blake didn’t answer that text, Aziz couldn’t or didn’t want to, take the hint that she just wasn’t interested. This is his last text.

“The last message I sent her — and I don’t know why I sent this — is Dec. 17, 2011, and I just write, ‘Happy Holidays!’ and then there’s no response.”

To keep the crush turned joke going Aziz sent his last text out while on-air with Howard.

“Read these messages on Howard. Hope that’s cool. Doubt you’ll respond to this.”
