‘Days Of Our Lives’ Star In Car Accident: Freddie Smith, Girlfriend Alyssa Tabit Injured
Days of Our Lives actor Freddie Smith was in a car accident Tuesday morning and fans are quite worried about his condition. Not much is known about the situation yet but DOOL fans are flooding the actor’s social media pages with message of support and concern.
According to the Star Beacon, Smith lost control of his car on Route 84 in Kingsville Township, Ohio, early Tuesday morning. Both Smith and his girlfriend, Alyssa Tabit, needed to be hospitalized.
Reports indicate that Smith was taken to the Conneaut Medical Center for treatment while Tabit needed to be flown to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown. While it seems that Smith’s injuries were fairly minor, Tabit’s injuries are apparently more serious.
Though few other details regarding Freddie Smith’s accident have been released as of yet, the Ohio State Highway Patrol indicates that alcohol and speed may have been factors in the crash. The investigation into just what happened continues.
Smith plays Sonny Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives. He is part of the popular duo WilSon and the couple recently shared soap’s first gay male wedding on the show. As for Tabit, Alyssa and Freddie apparently were friends for some time before they started dating. She acts as well, having had a guest role spot on an episode of The Client List and then playing Janie Stevens in Addicts Anonymous. Smith also had a role in that short-lived show.
Freddie and Alyssa frequently share photos and tag one another in updates via social media, and they were seen together at the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards in Beverly Hills this past June. While it’s not certain what Freddie and Alyssa were doing in Ohio when the crash occurred, Smith is originally from the area.
The actor’s Days of Our Lives fans are flooding his Facebook page and Facebook fan page sending their support. The latest post on Smith’s fan page indicates that Alyssa remains in critical condition while Freddie suffered minor injuries. The Days of Our Lives actor has not posted anything on social media or released any kind of statement regarding the accident as of yet.
For now, DOOL fans will have to stay tuned for updates regarding the conditions of both Freddie and Alyssa as well as for details regarding the crash. In the meantime, everybody is sending their well wishes in hopes that both Alyssa Tabit and Days of Our Lives actor Freddie Smith will fully recover after the early morning car accident.
