WWE News: Randy Orton To Turn Babyface For WrestleMania Season?

Is it true that the WWE lack main-event babyface talent? That could be a presentable argument toward the proposed question. The WWE has John Cena and Dean Ambrose on top, but after that, it really drops to the upper-midcard for quality babyface talent. Dolph Ziggler is probably at no. 3 on the theoretical depth chart. Should that be a concern?

If it were me, I’d do whatever it took to sign CM Punk to a ridiculously lucrative contract, just to have another top babyface in the company. With Cena and Ambrose (that are about to feud by the way), that uses up every quality good guy the WWE owns. With that in mind, the WWE realized that and is about to turn a superstar babyface that should remain a killer heel.

WWE is planning on turning Randy Orton babyface in the next three or four months. This could indicate possible Wrestlemania plans for Randy Orton, given the timing.

On top of it all, they want to push Bray Wyatt as a babyface down the road as well. Doing that would get rid of two monster heels and turn them into forced-face wrestlers. That simply means that WWE is desperate for babyface talent. Not that Triple H would ever admit to that — the problem would never go away until it is addressed. Turning Wyatt and Orton face makes absolutely no sense.

As for Wyatt, where would his character go from the vicious and devious Wyatt Family moniker? He is supposed to be the “Eater of Worlds” and go through anything that comes into his path. His evil minions, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, will not be a tag-team for the foreseeable future after seeing the Harper vignettes from last night. Judging solely by the vignettes and Wyatt telling Harper he has been “set free,” there goes the Wyatt Family.

Coming back to Orton, there should be no reason for him to turn face. Any WWE fan should agree that he was better off as the Legend Killer. His promo ability as a sadistic psychopath brought out the best in the third-generation superstar. Now, the Viper brings his monotonous and bland mic skills with the occasional horrible joke.

If it is true that Orton wants some time off to recharge his batteries, then bring him back at the Royal Rumble after Seth Rollins hits him with a curb stomp onto cinder blocks. That way, Orton can return and battle with Rollins until WrestleMania season truly begins. There really isn’t any other way to do it as Orton vs. Kane would be absolutely terrible. Please WWE, bring back the Legend Killer.
