Clooney Wedding Pics: Amal’s Gown Is Stunning, George Says It’s ‘Damned Great’ To Be Married

Mr. and Mrs. Clooney looked divine in wedding wedding photos that were released by the couple to both People and Hello magazines on Tuesday. Now that the couple’s four day celebration is over, fans are finally getting a peek inside George and Amal‘s spectacular Venice wedding, including photos of Amal’s stunning gown and the bride and groom sharing their first bite of an enormous wedding cake.

The Clooney wedding created a buzz all weekend, with multiple photos of the couple popping up online before and after the wedding. The actor managed to keep his bride hidden from public view during Saturday’s wedding, although the happy couple cheesed it up for cameras after spending the night in wedded bliss at the Aman Canal Grande resort.

The actual wedding day photos were not released to the two magazines until Tuesday, the day after George and Amal officially tied the knot in a civil ceremony in Venice.

How does George Clooney, who is no longer Hollywood’s Most Eligible Bachelor, feel about being married to human rights attorney Amal Alamuddin? In an interview with Hello, he revealed that it was “damned great” to be husband and wife.

“My verdict on being Mr. and Mrs. Clooney? It feels pretty damn great.”

Hello reports that Amal wore a custom Oscar de la Renta wedding gown, a classic off-the-shoulder bridal gown made from French lace and embroidered with pearls and diamanté accents. George’s bride topped off her wedding-day look with a cathedral-length veil.

George wore a black Armani tuxedo, white shirt and bow tie. He finished his look with cufflinks that undoubtedly have extra special meaning to the groom. Yahoo! reports that the cufflinks Clooney wore on Saturday have with his name inscribed in Arabic, a gift from his new wife.

Mr. and Mrs. Clooney cover this week’s issue of People, available on newsstands Wednesday, with 25 other photos of what’s being called “an emotional ceremony” and “star studded parties” inside the entertainment magazine. The photos will also be featured in the UK magazine, Hello.

The couple will reportedly take a short honeymoon to wind down from their whirlwind wedding weekend. When asked what’s next for the bridge and groom, Clooney tells People, “We’re looking forward to everything.”
