Steven Seagal Takes Job Protecting Mexico Border Crossing

Actor and police officer Steven Seagal has accepted a job with the Hudspeth County sheriff’s office in Texas where he will help law enforcement officials protect the U.S.-Mexico border from illegal immigrants.

According to the San Antonio Express Mr. Seagal was sworn in this week after reaching out to the department two months ago to offer his help.

Speaking about his new stars employment Sheriff Arvin West said:

“Seagal is not in this for celebrity or publicity. He’s like the rest of us that live down here; he has a sincere passion for his country and he wants to do more to help.”

Unlike his time in Louisiana’s Jefferson Parish he will not have camera’s following him around for a new A&E show. Steven Seagal: Lawman stopped production in 2010 when a former model claimed Seagal hired her as his assistant and then attempted to use her as his personal “sex toy.”

According to a spokesman:

“The television aspect of what we’re doing here is the last priority,” and “The man has a pure motive in doing this. He knows what we’re up against and wants to help.”

For his efforts Seagal will earn somewhere in the vicinity of $15 per hour, plus he’ll have the satisfaction of wrangling up some illegal immigrants which is probably a big part of his motivation for taking the job.

If Steven Seagal’s time spent as a Mexico border patrol officer was turned into a new reality TV show for A&E or another network would you be willing to watch it?
