World’s Strongest Priest Holds 19 Records Including ‘Heaviest Plane Pulled’

Powerlifting might not be the first thing that springs to mind when it comes to men of the cloth, who are usually more closely associated with sitting in peaceful prayer or pondering the wonders of God.

But one very Reverend Priest from Canada, Dr. Kevin Fast, breaks the mold completely and holds at least 19 world records for some of the most unimaginable feats of powerlifting over the last 20 years.

When he isn’t pulling planes or houses, Fast, 51, has presided over thousands of services, weddings, and baptisms during his time at the St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Canada, making him very special, if not completely unique.

As well as holding the record for the heaviest plane pulled, Fast also holds Guinness World Record for the heaviest truck pulled by an arm wrestling move (12.5 tons), the most cabers tossed in three minutes (14), and the highest number of people lifted with the shoulders (11).

The world’s strongest priest has truly achieved some amazing world records in his illustrious career, including pulling a fire engine over 100 feet and hauling a 40-ton house down a road.

Speaking to reporters, Fast said about his double-life, “Most people in religious circles find it hard to believe that I do all these feats of strength. A pastor is usually small and weak. But my parishioners here at the church are always supportive. We are a nice big family and they like to hear about my exploits.”

Reverend Fast has three children and donates all of his winnings from competitions to local charities.

He told reporters, “I’ve set many records over the years – I’ve pulled planes, trucks, ships and trains. Just about everything you can pull. About the only thing I haven’t pulled has been muscles. I’ve been competing at an extreme level for 21 years and don’t want to stop now. I’ve been given the ability to do this and I believe it is a gift from God. The deal with gifts like this is you have to use them to help people otherwise it would be ungrateful.”
