Chelsea Clinton Mocked By New York Post After Giving Birth To Baby Girl

Chelsea Clinton just gave birth to a baby girl, her first child, but the happy occasion has turned sour thanks to an insulting headline from the New York Post.

The news outlet, which is famous for its conservative slant, decided to mark Chelsea’s first baby by publishing a headline mocking her family. The paper showed a picture of Bill and Hillary Clinton holding the baby girl along with the headline “Another liberal crybaby for Dem Clintons.”

The insult hasn’t seemed to damper the family’s enthusiasm for the little girl, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky. Not long after she was born, Chelsea Clinton and husband Marc Mezvinsky released the first official photo of the baby girl, and not long afterward Bill and Hillary Clinton quickly followed added their own photos.

Bill used the occasion to get out of a planned fundraising visit to Denver.

“I hope I get an excused absence,” he said. “You all know my family just got a little bigger and I figure I should stay home where I’m really needed.”

The family also released a happy statement about the baby’s birth.

“Chelsea is well and glowing,” they said. “Marc is bursting with pride. Charlotte’s life is off to a good start.”

Beyond the cover, the New York Post even gave Chelsea Clinton and her new baby girl some decent coverage. The paper’s gossip section Page Six noted baby Charlotte’s fashion sense for the first official photo:

“Little Charlotte was fashionably dressed for her first photo shoot in a pink-and-blue-striped white blanket and a pink knit cap with a floppy bow. Her granddad sent the baby her very first tweet, although she probably won’t have her own Twitter account for at least another week.”

Chelsea Clinton might not be giving baby Charlotte a Twitter account, but she definitely won’t be getting her a subscription to the New York Post either.
