‘The Big Bang Theory’ Spoilers: Penny’s Flirting To Cause Relationship Troubles

The Big Bang Theory fans were thrilled when Penny and Leonard finally got engaged at the end of last season, but Penny’s flirting could create a rift in their relationship.

It looked like the couple was in a very good place after Penny got over commitment issues and decided that she was ready to marry Leonard. However, her new job as a pharmaceutical rep could give Leonard more grief than her acting career did.

According to Spoiler TV, actor Johnny Galecki recently talked to TV Guide Magazine about what’s in store for Penny and Leonard during Season 8 of The Big Bang Theory. Kaley Cuoco’s character won’t be pretend-kissing hot guys now that she’s given up on acting, but she will have to turn on the charm to sell drugs to doctors. Galecki revealed that Leonard is going to have a very hard time imagining his girlfriend spending all day flirting with rich guys.

“Part of her new job is going to be a lot of flirting, and that’s going to threaten him. People who are older and more successful than he is will fall for her, and Penny and Leonard are going to have to find a really profound strength to survive that.”

The two things Leonard always had that Penny’s hot exes didn’t have was his intelligence and a decent-paying job. Now Penny is going to meet guys that she probably never would have encountered in her normal social circle. There’s even a possibility that she could get hit on by a McDreamy who might make her start thinking she can do better than Leonard.

The old Leonard’s solution to this tough situation would be to rush down the aisle as soon as possible — just look at how many times the needy nerd has proposed to Penny over the course of The Big Bang Theory. However, it sounds like he’s actually not going to put any pressure on Penny to get hitched ASAP.

“It’s important to Penny to prove to her mother that she’s not pregnant!” Johnny Galecki revealed. Luckily for Penny, The Hollywood Reporter reports that there are no plans for any members of the Big Bang gang to have kids anytime soon. Penny might not end up rocking a baby bump on her wedding day, but Galecki said that he’d love for Penny and Leonard to have a “white-trash wedding.”

The couple will probably survive Penny’s career change now that they’ve drastically improved the way they work through their issues and communicate with one another. However, will viewers survive Penny’s new haircut? As The Inquisitr previously reported, Kaley Cuoco isn’t adding extensions to her short haircut for Season 8 of The Big Bang Theory, and fans of Felicity know just how much of a negative impact a haircut can have on a show.

Hopefully, viewers adjust to the new ‘do better than Sheldon does. In a preview for the show, he makes it abundantly clear that he’s not a fan of Penny’s pixie cut.

At least Penny knows not to take it personality — her pal just has a hard time handling any major change.

Do you think fans will have a negative reaction to Kaley Cuoco’s haircut, and do you think that Penny and Leonard will survive Season 8? The Big Bang Theory returns with back-to-back episodes on September 22 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
