There goes Honey Boo Boo… er, Sugar Bear. Mama June has separated from her longtime partner, Sugar Bear, after she found evidence that he’d been seeing other people. According to TMZ, Mama June has been seen without her “wedding” ring, and she’s planning on packing up her belongings and leaving the home she shared with Sugar Bear. As TMZ points out, the two were never technically married. They had a commitment ceremony, but are not legally considered husband and wife.
“Our sources say Mama June plans on taking the kids and moving out — once the latest round of filming ‘Here Comes Boo Boo’ is done… so she can be closer to her relatives. She hasn’t fully decided on the move.”
The relationship of the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo stars has been chronicled on the show, and fans seem to enjoy watching the two together. Unfortunately, things have gone south — and not in a good way — for the family. According to reports, June Shannon (Mama June), 34, found out that Mike Thompson (Sugar Bear), 42, had made profiles on various dating websites. It’s unknown if he actually went out on dates or met other women through these sites or otherwise.
Mama June released a statement to TMZ confirming the news, and let everyone know that she’s taking things day by day. She says that her girls (Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, and Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon) will always be her first priority.
“Sugar Bear and I have decided to take some time apart to figure out some things in our relationship. We are taking things day by day but regardless of what happens the girls will always be our #1 priority. We want to thank ya’ll for your support.
According to E! News, Mama June has previously been very vocal about being with someone that treats you right and makes you happy. Her motto? “There are plenty of fish in the sea.”
“Never settle for a man who doesn’t treat you right. If a guy doesn’t love everything about you, move on! There are plenty of other fish in the sea.”
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo producers aren’t too sure how to proceed, but TLC could have some wild success and an upswing in ratings if any of this drama is filmed for the family’s reality television show. Of course, this would be great for the whole family, as the show has seemingly lost its luster for many people. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Mama June and Honey Boo Boo made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon back in June… and the reception wasn’t exactly warm. In fact, many referred to Honey Boo Boo as a “monster” after her terrible behavior on the show.
