Balthazar Getty is rumored to be leaving Brothers & Sisters after episode 19, a “well-placed insider” told E! , which gels with Marc Malkin’s previous report that Balthazar is expected to be phased out soon . E! reports that “the show’s writers and producers have rewritten certain scenes and storylines” in order to get him to leave before the season’s end.
If it’s true, it’s probably for the best. Balthazar’s supposedly been treating people badly on the set, and– let’s be honest– his personal life is probably getting in the way of his work. While Balthazar’s rep denies it, saying that the rumors are “not true,” the show had no comment at this time.
Balthazar’s rumored exit means something else: his onscreen wife, Sarah Jane Morris, will most likely have to leave as well. An insider commented that ” “I know producers love her and want to keep her, [but] it may be hard to do with Tommy going away.”
