Jill Halliburton Su: Florida Wife Found Dead In Mansion Bathtub

Jill Halliburton Su, relative of the renowned Halliburton oil company, was found dead in the bathtub of her Florida mansion on Monday police say. The New York Daily News reports that Halliburton’s body was discovered after her son stopped by to check up on her. Law enforcement officers say that the case was first thought to be a suicide case but later confirmed to be murder.

Police were dispatched to the Florida gated community after receiving a 911 call of a possible suicide, according to ABC News. When officers arrived, they found the body of an unconscious white female submerged in the bathtub of the home. The woman was identified as Jill Halliburton of Broward County.

A young man, identified as her son, told officers that his father, Dr. Nan Yao Su, had asked him to check on his mother after he was unable to make contact with her. Dr. Nan Yao Su first thought something might be wrong after the elaborate surveillance system disallowed him to see his home from his office. When the doctor tried to reach Jill Halliburton by phone, there was no answer, according to the Daily Mail.

As detectives processed the scene at the mansion, they noticed a broken glass door near the back and a room that was in disarray. Here is what one officer had to say.

“We did find a door that was broken or the glass of a door that was broken.”

An autopsy report confirmed that Jill Halliburton’s death was not suicide but murder. A cause of death has not been made public. Police haven’t named any suspects in the suspicious death.

“I don’t want to say anybody’s been ruled out as a suspect. At this time, this is a very active investigation.”

Neighbors describe both Jill Halliburton Su and her husband Dr. Nan Yao Su as a nice, happily married couple who loved to travel. Neighbors say that crime is a rare in that area.

“I live very near here. No way this was a random crime. And for you wacko leftwingers who get easily fixated on your demons, this lady was a true asset to humanity. She spent the last nine years transcribing books to audio for the blind.”

Jill Su volunteered her time reading books to the blind at Insight for the Blind, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the blind and the visually impaired improve their lives. Dr. Nan Yao Su is a professor at the University of Florida.

Police have canvassed the neighborhood for information and searched the water canal that runs behind the mansion. Another mansion murder occurred in Florida several months back involving Darrin Campbell, according to The Inquisitr.
