Deion Sanders was always quite the character to behold on the football field and now in divorce Primetime is acting like his old self, full of flash and confusing sentiments. After 11 years of marriage to Pilar Sanders the former NFL star filed for divorce this week and based his decision on his wife’s attempts to become a reality TV star.
Sanders explained in his divorce filing:
“Enough is enough. I never signed up for all this. Enough is enough. If I wanted a model or a television star I would have married one a long time ago. All I wanted was a housewife.”
It should be noted that Pilar was involved in various music videos before her marriage to Deion and she also participated in a big way during her husbands own reality TV show.
Speaking to the website Hello Beautiful Pilar said:
“It’s unfortunate that my husband decided to take this course of action…I’m surprised and hurt… As I said to my children, we must take a minute breath and Trust God.”
So there you have it the guy who sports the DirecTV moniker practically across his forehead these days can’t take the fact that his wife wants a career of her own.
I’m filing this one under “divorce fail.”
