Han Solo To Use Two Costumes In ‘Star Wars Episode VII’ [Rumor]

It seems we hear a new Star Wars Episode VII rumor everyday, but the latest one sounds exciting. Han Solo, played by recovering actor Harrison Ford, is said to have two costumes in the movie.

It is unclear who is leaking all the latest on set information from J.J. Abrams production or if it is actually true (hence the use of “rumor” at the end of the title), but the photos accompanying the leaked information are very credible. Just take a look at what Harrison Ford could look like in the new installment of the intergallactic saga.

The new photos, obtained by Indie Revolver, which appears to have some very good connections (if the rumors prove to be true) indicate that the elderly Han Solo, who we think is in his 60s on Star Wars Episode VII will use a revised version of the costume Harrison Ford made famous in the original trilogy.

A white-haired Ford is seen in a drawing with the classic tan top, dark pants, boots, and in this case the vest is replaced by a brown colored trench coat — plus his gun. Although we take all these rumors with a major grain of salt and by no means believe them to be true (since they haven’t been announced officially), it looks like the real deal. Check it out.

In the other leaked photo of Han Solo, we see a drawing of the actor in a winter suit, very similar to that depicted in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. This costume would be a clear indication that Harrison Ford will be venturing outdoors in adverse weather conditions, perhaps to rescue Luke again?

Compare that to the costume Han Solo wore in The Empire Strikes Back. Remember that scene?

Many agree that Han Solo is a very important piece of the puzzle that is Star Wars Episode VII and is one of the main characters, much more than Luke and Leia. According to the talk of those in the know, Han and Chewie are not in control of the Millennium Falcon — which we know is part of J.J. Abrams film — after losing it in a gambling bet.

According to reporting from Badass Digest, in Star Wars Episode VII Han Solo has moved up in the ranks, hence his more stylish costume, and is trying to get his ship back:

“Han and Chewie are piloting a Super Star Destroyer…I believe the Falcon is in the hands of Oscar Isaac’s character, who is very much the Lando Calrissian of this movie – all the way down to wearing a cape. There are other familiar spaceships in this movie, including three variations on TIE Fighters. There’s the classic design, the TIE Interceptor and a new generation TIE Bomber – the pods on these are stacked, not side-by-side.”

“Back to Han – you will get to see him use a lightsaber once again.”

All this sounds very exciting, IF these rumors are all true, but we won’t know until Star Wars Episode and Han Solo return to the big screen on December 18, 2015.
