Comedian Lewis Black lashed out at Rush Limbaugh via social media today over comments in which the radio host connected the death of Robin Williams to the actor's political leanings.
Holding nothing back, Black began the Facebook post in which he addressed Limbaugh's assertion with a vociferous obscenity:
"F*** YOU Rush Limbaugh. Your statements were beyond cruel and stupid. They were intolerable. Enough is enough from you. You are an idiot. Don't you ever demean the death of another human being. He was my friend. You disgust me."
Black's response comes a day after Limbaugh garnered widespread criticism by suggesting on his show that Robin Williams' left-leaning political views were connected to his suicide, as The Inquisitr reported.

"He had it all, but he had nothing," Limbaugh said of Williams, according to CBS DC. "He made everybody else laugh but was miserable inside. I mean, it fits a certain picture, or a certain image that the left has." Limbaugh also claimed that a leftist political worldview is "one of pessimism and darkness, sadness -- they're never happy, are they? They're always angry about something. No matter what they get, they're always angry."
Just read Rush Limbaugh's theory on Robin Williams' suicide. It's more misguided than I could have imagined. My eyes and brain now hate me. — Andy Resnik (@AndyResnik) August 13, 2014
Lewis Black chose to remember Robin Williams in a markedly different manner, reflecting on the actor's seemingly boundless talent and energy, according to Time. "[Trying to figure out how he does what he does] is like standing in front of a hurricane and going, gee, I wonder how that happened," Black reminisced, referencing his time working on USO shows with Williams during the late 2000s:
"It's proof again that the good die young, and pricks live forever. He's gonna be missed. There's a hole, and it's gonna take a long time to be filled."

On his show Wednesday, Limbaugh claimed that his comments were "misquoted, purposely taken out of context" by the media, The Huffington Post reports. "I don't presume to know why Robin Williams committed suicide," Limbaugh said, claiming that Liberal media outlets "are the ones trying to explain it. They are the ones justifying it. They are the ones glorifying it."
Rush Limbaugh has yet to issue a response to Lewis Black's statement.
