The year isn’t one day old (well on the West Coast), and yet the hardest working man in the wacky appearances business has started his 2009 Tour.

Fittingly, Jesus started his tour in one of the first places on the planet to welcome 2009, New Zealand, with a decent appearance on a piece of toast.

Bidding at a the time of writing is up to $31 NZD ($19.70 USD), and according to The Age , the owner has declined an offer to swap the Jesus toast for a sack of potatoes that look like the Virgin Mary.
