Michael Pedicone has been fired from My Chemical Romance after spending one year as their drummer. According to the group Pedicone was caught stealing from band members.
MCR wrote on their website:
Please listen close because this is the only time we are ever going to talk about this. The relationship between My Chemical Romance and Michael Pedicone is over. He was caught red handed stealing from the band and confessed to police after our show last night in Auburn, Washington. We are heartbroken and sick to our stomachs over this entire situation. The band has no intention of pressing charges or taking this matter any further than we have to. We just want him out of our lives.

Not wanting to be left without a voice in the situation Pedicone later tweeted:
What happened is more complicated than it sounds but I did make a mistake. It was never my intention to hurt this band or all of you. It was an error in judgement based on a whole other situation that’s way deeper but this does not define me.
The band will continue their tour with a drummer for hire and they still plan to hit the studio this fall to record a new album .
I’m not really sure how stealing and a police report can be “more complicated” than it really is, especially after Michael Pedicone admit he made a mistake, in any case it’s good to hear that fans won’t suffer show cancellations and album delays because of his theft.
