Sandra Bullock Channels Her Inner Lioness After Turning The Big 5-0

She just celebrated her 50th birthday, but Sandra Bullock can still channel her inner-lioness on demand. The adorable American beauty, who charmed fans two decades ago with the movie Speed, was seen out and about days after her milestone. And while some women her age are resigned to getting older, Sandra was seen donning a tank top that belted out a roar worthy of a double-take, according to the Daily Mail.

Miss Congeniality, a proud mommy of one son, was seen picking up her pride and joy from school in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Sandra Bullock adopted Louie in 2010 and is often seen in public with the adorable child.

On this day, the actress opted for laid-back dress (shown here). While fetching her son, Sandra donned a loose-fitting sleeveless shirt with a large graphic of a lion plastered on it. Just a glance at the sprightly 50-year-old and it appears as if she’s purring like a female lion. Along with her over-sized shirt, she wore frayed Daisy Duke shorts that revealed her toned pillars. She capped off her kicked-back ensemble with a pair of aviators and causal slip-ons.

At 50, Bullock is showing no signs of slowing down her career. The critically-acclaimed actress is busy prepping for her role in The Minions, a Despicable Me spin-off. The Oscar-winner is voicing the role of Scarlet Overkill, a resourceful and fashionable protagonist who aspires to be the world’s first female super-villain.

In June, Sandra Bullock made the news when an intruder broke into her California home. Thankfully, Sandra had a safe room which she retreated to and called 911 during the break-in. Later, police arrested the suspect, who turned out to be a stalker. A search of his home revealed a large cache of weapons.

And at the time of his arrest, investigators found a note about Bullock and her son, evidence that suggests he was out of touch with reality. The alleged stalker is facing a litany of felony charges that could land him a 12-year jail sentence.

Judging by the high spirits and relaxed look Wednesday, Sandra doesn’t appear to be too concerned about the close-call in coming face-to-face with the intruder.

Whether she’s playing a federal agent (The Heat) or a cerebral astronaut (Gravity), Sandra Bullock remains the epitome of reinvention, resilience and staying-power. Since her lion shirt signals she’s still a feline princess, perhaps she can be persuaded to bring back that fierce Gracie Hart catwalk — with the blue dress, please.
