NBA All-Star and Indiana Pacer, Paul George, broke his leg earlier tonight during a blue/white Team USA Showcase scrimmage in Las Vegas. The video is very hard to watch, and George’s injury is very reminiscent of the break that Louisville Cardinal Kevin Ware suffered during the 2012 NCAA Men’s basketball Tournament.
The USA basketball scrimmage was a showcase for NBA players hoping to make Team USA for international play. In a twist of symmetry, the night began as Chicago Bull forward Derrick Rose took the court for the first time in over nine months after recovering from his own injury. No word at the time of this writing how long Paul George will be out, but the injury is horrific.
