No Clues In Case Of Missing Mom Who Left To Run Errands And Never Returned

There are no clues in the case of a missing mom who left her Oregon home to do some errands last month and never returned.

Jennifer Huston left her home at 5:45 pm on July 24, with her husband noting that she was feeling stressed out. He tried to call her soon afterward, but she did not answer. When she didn’t return, he called police the next day and reported her missing.

Police in Newberg, Oregon, say they have no clues as to where the missing mom could be, but are not yet treating her disappearance as a criminal case. Because the 38-year-old’s disappearance is officially listed as a missing persons case, police are not yet able to subpoena her phone records to learn about where she may have been when her phone was shut off.

Police determined that Huston’s phone did not run out of batteries, but rather was turned off.

Jennifer Huston was last seen July 24 at about 6:30 pm. She filled up her Lexus at a gas station, around the same time that her cell phone was turned off.

While police have found no clues, search crews combing the area for the missing mom have also turned up nothing to date. The seventh day of the search began on Thursday, with teams of volunteers sweeping large sections of the area, all the way to the San Juan Islands off the Washington coast. Police said Jennifer Huston was known to frequent the islands.

On Thursday, the ground crews were joined by an airplane that flew over rural roads. With no new clues, the missing mom case could be meeting a dead end soon, said Captain Tim Svenson with the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office.

“After today [Thursday], we will probably have covered every part of our county, either by air or by vehicle. So, unless they have any more information by the end of today, we will have covered our portions of our county and probably not have any searchers out tomorrow,” Svenson added.

With no clues in the missing mom case, friends and family have started a “Find Jennifer Huston” page on Facebook that already has more than 40,000 “likes.” They have also started a GoFundMe account to offset the cost of the search, which within two days has already raised close to $10,000.
