Kandi Burruss’ Diva Contract Requires Popeyes Chicken, Bans KFC, Except Slaw

Celebrities have strange demands, but Kandi Burruss has taken being a diva to another level. The Real Housewives of Atlanta reality TV star’s contract rider for A Mother’s Love has a number of odd requests. TMZ uncovered a document that makes the RHOA cast member an uber prima donna: Kandi requires Popeyes Famous Fried Chicken backstage, and says KFC is off limits.

Costars Phaedra Parks, NeNe Leakes and Porsha Williams have their share of drama on the Bravo television series, and they all know how to kick off a good brouhaha like a flash-flood. However, Kandi’s uncovered contract makes their on-air antics bronze-worthy, while Burruss’ chicken demands wins the gold.

Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker wed back in April and their lavish wedding was aired on the network. The ceremony showed that the newlywed has a penchant for fashion, decor and amazing food. Perhaps, that’s why her fried chicken fetish during production of her stage play is something way out of left field. Or maybe, as The Inquisitr explored recently, the eccentric star is pregnant? Hold your horses; there’s no official word on that yet.

And her strange list of deep-fried demands don’t just stop there. In addition to requiring Popeyes on the set, Kandi insists on new toilet seats when going potty. What’s more, Burruss’ choices in bathroom tissue and soap are Cottonelle and Dove. Imagine that?

According to Reality TV Magazine, on her “No KFC Allowed” clause, the contract reads:

Please do not substitute for KFC or Churches, we know the difference.” However, coleslaw makes the cut on the list of eats. Colonel Sanders is probably breathing a sigh of relief from the grave.

Kandi’s specific choices of food and toiletries make for “Oh no she didn’t” gossip. But in the world of diva-dom, others are very noteworthy.

For example, during Britney Spears’ run on X Factor, her diva demands called for a specific number of Doritos, Diet Coke drinks and Snickers. And who can forget Mariah Carey’s Tour in 2010? Mimi’s contract rider called for two dozen white roses and vanilla aromatherapy candles. Additionally, Carey required certain furniture types and paint colors for her dressing room, which had to be set precisely at a temperature of 75 degrees.

Kandi Burruss is living the life: the Real Houswives star is enjoying the married life, is looking forward to another season of her long-running show in the ATL, and according to WebPro News, she and Todd just inked a deal to take A Mother’s Love on the road for a nationwide tour.

In the general scheme of things, if you’re going to be a diva in Hollywood or a famous housewife in Atlanta, do it like a boss. Shake a leg Kandi — or a wing — or a thigh.
