WWE News: WWE 2K15 Roster Leaked Online And Includes CM Punk, Speculation On Negotiations?

The WWE 2k15 roster leaked online today and it includes a man that supposedly will never wrestle again, CM Punk. Before any speculation of the Chicago-native begins, below is the full WWE 2K15 roster that involves former-wrestlers such as Yokozuna, Mankind and many NXT superstars.

Again, this is only a rumored list, because usually WWE doesn’t announce the official roster until the SummerSlam Axxess event the weekend of the pay-per-view. According to the report, GamFAQs.com has 92 wrestlers on the list and claims they got the roster from the August edition of GameInformer magazine.

With that being said, it is a true shock that WWE kept Punk in the game. They had seven months to eliminate his name from the roster reveal that will officially take place in mid-August. Why didn’t they tell 2K to take him out? It also comes as a huge surprise because a week ago, rumors flew ramped that WWE would sue him for all the missed dates he walked out on.

Bleacher Report came out with a news update on 2K15 yesterday, but nothing new sparked the interest of the WWE Universe. Rather, it was old news that included Sting as the big surprise and John Cena gracing the cover of the popular video game. This year though, Punk being involved is huge for the game.

Without being in the WWE, he remains one of the most popular people in wrestling today. Players will buy the game, simply to play as CM Punk. Now, that has to give some truth to the speculation that he and the WWE are still talking. As the comments will roll through that the thought of them talking is only available to “Punk marks,” WWE and their video gaming team had too long to remove him.

That has to count for something. Of course, it is wishful thinking, but when the official roster comes out and Punk is announced, fans of his can rejoice that even the smallest of things happened. On the other hand, WWE might not care the slightest and don’t think of the game as legitimate.

However, when Jeff Hardy left the WWE, he wasn’t in the latest edition of the WWE video game series. Let that prove to the doubters that anything is possible with the Punk situation. Even a video game could give slight details of progress.
