Lucy Hale ‘Blown Away’ By Her Success In Country Music

Lucy Hale is pretty excited about the success she’s enjoying within the realm of country music these days. In fact, she’s more than happy to wave goodbye to the wild and wooly world of Hollywood for a little while.

Although most people recognize Hale from her turn as Aria Montgomery on the hit series Pretty Little Liars, she’s also hard at work cranking out country-friend music. The multi-talented 25-year-old dropped her debut album Road Between back in June. Wet Paint reports that Hale has received good marks from critics for her endeavor.

According to Fox News, Lucy Hale is completely “blown away” by the success she’s enjoyed as of late. Unlike other areas of the entertainment business, Hale said that the boys and girls in Nashville actually want folks to succeed.

The actress-musician explained:

“I’m actually blown away from the support I’ve experienced by country radio and being invited to sing at the Opry and even a lot of the artists, its just been really cool. That’s what I love about Nashville and what I love about that community, is that they want to see people succeed and people root for each other. I’m used to Hollywood where it’s like dog eat dog and people are vicious, so its nice to get to experience something so genuine and it’s cool to feel welcome.”

However, Lucy Hale seems to understand that her music career could crumble at any possible second. Since so many people have watched their music get chewed up and spit out by the Beast of Country Music, Hale is treading very carefully through the industry.

She continued:

“It’s scary because there are so many people who have come before me and have failed and not done a good job, but for me I’ve always been a musician at heart — I want to be the exception. I know have a lot to prove and I know I have a lot of minds to change, but it’s a really good challenge and I think when people hear me talk about music, see me perform or listen to the CD, I think they’re like, ‘Oh now we get it.'”

The Inquisitr previously reported that Lucy Hale performed songs from her album Road Between during an appearance at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville last June. She marked the occasion with a very enthusiastic tweet.

Although she’s comfortable with her success in country music, Hale admitted that she felt her Fifty Shades of Grey audition was more than a little awkward. Lucy tried out for the role of Anastasia Steele, but the party ultimately went to Dakota Johnson.

Hale said:

“It actually was just me [in the audition]. It was a two-page monologue of exactly what you would think it would be. Very uncomfortable, but it was sort of one of those things where you just had to go for it or you’re just gonna look lame — hopefully, I didn’t look lame.”

Are you surprised that Lucy Hale is finding nothing but success in country music?
