Vanessa Minnillo is pregnant! The actress and her musician hubby, Nick Lachey, are expecting their second child together — a baby girl. According to People Magazine , the happy couple enlisted the help of their son, Camden, 22 months, to make the official announcement, which Lachey posted on his Twitter page.
Nick and Vanessa wanted to wait until Camden was a little older before they had another baby. He will be two years old when his baby sister is welcomed into the world, presumably in early 2014. The time has come, and the Lachey’s are over the moon with excitement — both Nick and Vanessa wanted a little girl.
Lachey previously said:
“I do want a girl. I think there’s something emotional about having a daughter that I definitely want to experience. Maybe I’ll get one more boy under my belt first. I’ll need some help to keep her in line, so a couple of brothers couldn’t hurt.”
Vanessa Minnillo hasn’t made any kind of statement about her pregnancy, but she did retweet the message that her hubby sent out just a couple of hours ago. As you can see from the tweet below, Nick wrote that he and his wife were celebrating their 3-year wedding anniversary with some amazing news. In the photo, you can see Camden running on a beach, in front of a sand-heart that has the words “It’s a girl” written for all to see.

Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey are back in California since Nick finished up working on VH1 Buzz. As previously reported by The Inquisitr , Minnillo’s FOX series Dads was canceled after just one season. While it was a major bummer for fans, it ended up working out — because now, Minnillo can be barefoot and pregnant at home! It’s unknown if she plans on working through any of her pregnancy, but it’s hard to land a job when you have a baby bump with you for several months.
Vanessa loves being a wife and a mother, and she will more than likely enjoy her time at home, waiting for the arrival of her baby girl. She has always put her family first, and she is more than likely going to take advantage of this down time, enjoying the last few months as a family of three.
Any name suggestions for little Miss Lachey?
