Battlefield 3 co-op confirmed, footage inside

During EA’s Gamescom press conference earlier today, DICE confirmed that Battlefield 3 will be shipping with co-op when it releases on October 25 in North America.

Not only did they confirm it, they also showed what it looks like running on the PlayStation 3, all live on stage. Unsurprisingly, not only did the game look great, but co-op actually looks like a lot of fun and not just a tacked-on feature.

What we saw started out as one of the game’s more stealthy levels, but things rather quickly progressed into an all-out symphony of bullets. From there we got to see infrared vision, some sniper rifle action and a whole lot of intense action.
