The Inquisitr recently reported on the stunning success of the iPhone 5c despite it being considered a flop as far as gadgets go. The iPhone 5c beat out the Galaxy S5 in its launch week in Europe, even though its screen is smaller and it's been out since late last year. If you're interested in seeing what all the fuss is about with these iPhone 5c devices, now might be the perfect time to buy one. All iPhone 5cs are getting a huge drop in price.
According to WCCFTech.com, iPhone 5cs could be available for as little as $99 from some retailers. This is a result of the upcoming release of the new iPhone 6. Apple is cutting prices on many last generation devices, including both the iPhone 5c and the iPhone 5. The idea is to get rid of any remaining iPhones in stock before the newer model hits the market.
The new iPhone 6 is expected to have some significant upgrades from the iPhone 5c. The new device will be thinner and have a substantially larger screen, which could help sway some consumers away from the Android devices and back to the iPhones. There will also be a better camera with image stabilization, an A8 processor for improved battery life and performance, Touch ID, and improved screen resolution. Two versions of the iPhone 6 will be available; one with a 4.7 inch screen and one with a 5.5 inch screen. It is rumored to cost $199 for the smaller version and $299 for the iPhone with a larger screen. The release dates for the iPhone 6 are also just rumors, but the talk is currently suggesting September 19 and September 25. Neither is confirmed.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 5c is dropping dramatically in cost to make room for the new model. The best price cuts for the iPhone 5c can be found online from retailers like eBay. You can buy several pre-owned iPhone 5 and 5c devices, including 16GB, 32GB and 64GB unlocked versions. The phone with a contract was slashed to an all-time low of $99 and features service with AT&T, Sprint, Verizon or US Cellular.
According to Gotta Be Mobile, you can even get the iPhone 5c from Walmart for the insanely low price of $29. Other Apple devices are also getting price cuts, including the iPad mini, iPad Air and iPhone 5s.
What do you think? Will you be picking up a cheap iPhone 5c or will you wait for the iPhone 6?
