In WWE news Diva Emma – real name Tenille Dashwood – was arrested at a Wal-Mart store in Connecticut for shoplifting an iPad case worth just $21.

When officers arrived at the store, they cuffed the WWE diva, even though she claimed that the whole thing was a big misunderstanding.

In court, her attorney, Hubert Santos, said that the 25-year-old Australian-born performer simply forgot to pay for the item at the store’s self-checkout while purchasing $30 worth of other products.

Dashwood, who was born in Melbourne, began her wrestling career in Australia before being discovered by the WWE.

Unfortunately, the court didn’t buy her, or her attorney’s story that she took the iPad case by mistake, and instead sentenced her to one day of community service. The charges against her will be dismissed once she completes that service.

Of course, the WWE immediately issued a statement regarding the arrest of one of their Divas, saying: “WWE is aware that Tenille Dashwood (WWE Diva Emma) was arrested for shoplifting. Ms. Dashwood is ultimately responsible for her personal actions.”

Short and sweet, and to the point.

It seems Diva Emma has become a massive overnight celebrity in her home country of Australia, having made a victory tour there recently, appearing on Sunrise, Kids’ WB Australia and several radio shows.

Dashwood got into wrestling when she was just 8 years old via her older brother, Jake. Back then a little sis needed to be tough and able to stand up for herself against an older brother and his buddies.

She made her first appearances on the wreslting scene in Australia when she was just 13. and later on appeared in the Australian wrestling promotion PWA under the ring name Valentine.

By the age of 16 she was only able to help setting up events but not fight in them due to a serious shoulder injury she suffered in 2007.

By 2011, Diva Emma spent time at Lance Storm’s Storm Wrestling Academy where she trained before featuring on the World of Hurt reality television show.
