Ellie Goulding, 27-year-old singer-songwriter/actress/instrumentalist, who many know for being the former girlfriend of Ed Sheeran and older women of One Direction’s Niall Horan’s affections, has been quickly rising to wide appeal and great fame since she came on the scene in 2010. Ellie’s followers, old and new, are going wild for Goulding’s recent live performances of recent hit “Burn” and fan-favorite “Lights” at this year’s Glastonbury festival last month, where she performed shortly before country music’s biggest star, headliner Dolly Parton. Many are excited to be hearing Goulding’s music in the soundtrack for Divergent, which features The Fault in Our Stars leads Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort. While Ellie says she isn’t worried that she doesn’t get photographed for magazines as frequently as other pop stars, it’s certainly clear that she’s just as beautiful. In addition to her stunning face, Goulding has a great, toned body – she told News that were she not a musician, she’d be a personal trainer. How does she juggle her music career and looking so great?
In the same interview with News, Goulding recommended varying your workouts (Ellie runs and boxes, as well as doing yoga, gymnastics and intense cardio training), listening to a wide variety of music while exercising, staying focused, eating vegetarian, and remembering that carbs aren’t as bad as we sometimes make them out to be.
Goulding talked to beauty websiteByrdie, where she recommended her favorite beauty products. These included Sisley’s Self-Tanning Hydrating Facial Skin Cream. At $141 a bottle, this may be a little out of most people’s price ranges, but Ellie also suggests Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir, which sells for $18, which she preps her face with before applying makeup. Goulding also advocates for Viktor & Rolf’s Flowerbomb Body Lotion, By Terry’s Rose Balm, L’Oreal Ideal Clean Towelettes and By Terry’s Refreshing Cleansing Gel.
Ellie described her fashion sense to Seventeen as a mixture of “girly-girl… flowery stuff” and “grungy… Pearl Jam” style. Goulding says her favorite clothing stores are “Topshop, Urban Outfitters, and Whistle in the UK. I love designer stuff but like it will only be like, on a whim. I love Alexander Wang so much, but it’s expensive.” Of makeup and hair products, Ellie says, “I like MAC, but I have loads of pinks… My hairdresser in the UK, Adam Reed has his own line, Percy and Reed… I use Moroccan Oil and Kerastase as well.”
