Liam Payne Hangs Out At Wimbledon

Liam Payne recently took a moment to unwind during some down time from One Direction’s massive world tour. Instead of hanging around the house, the singer took a trip to Wimbledon with fellow singer and tennis fan Niall Horan.

While most of the world has its collective sights set on 2014 World Cup, other folks are busy with a little tournament known as the Wimbledon Championships. It’s a pretty big deal, though it significance is somewhat overshadows by the football (aka soccer) tournament taking place in Brazil this year.

Instead of heading back to South America to enjoy one of the matches taking place there, Liam Payne and Niall Horan decided to enjoy a bit of tennis. According to Sugarscape, Payne and his compadre were spotted at the event last week.

While hanging out at the annual tennis championship, Liam Payne found a bit of time to enjoy a few other activities. While Horan downed a pint and cheered for his favorite player, Payne decided to pose for a selfie while seated amongst mere mortals.

The singer also took a moment to do a bit of exploring.

As you can see, Payne and Horan are pretty big tennis fans. Back in the day they apparently enjoyed a few matches with the least amount of clothing possible.

Staring at players as they grunt and swing rackets isn’t the only outing Liam Payne has enjoyed in recent days. The Inquisitr previously reported that the singer spent some quality time with acclaimed singer and producer Pharrell Williams. Does this mean there’s a nifty collaboration in our near future? We’ll just have to wait and see.

“Liam stopped by my studio. I think he’s just genuinely curious about music. We have that in common. He’s always wanting to see what’s new and what’s next,” Williams recently explained during a brief chat with Sugarscape.

Are you surprised that Liam Payne and Niall Horan spent some time at Wimbledon?
