Delaware Man Run Over By Wife: Driving Lesson Goes Wrong When Wife Hits Man With Car

A Delaware man was run over by his wife during a driving lesson. According to NewOXY, a man was teaching his wife how to drive when things went terribly wrong. The man was helping his wife prep for her upcoming driving test when she accidentally struck him and ran him over.

The whole thing happened at the Delaware City Department of Motor Vehicles parking lot on Sunday. The woman, 28, hit a traffic cone and it got lodged beneath the front end of the car. The man got out of the 2006 Honda Civic to remove the cone, and he “lost his balance.” For some reason, his wife stepped on the gas pedal and her husband ended up pinned under the vehicle.

The Delaware man run over by his wife was airlifted to a hospital after the incident. According to The Canada Journal, the man was treated for non-life threatening injuries and is expected to be okay. His current condition is unknown. The man’s wife was not charged with anything but police are still investigating the case.

It is unknown if the woman took her driving test since — or if she passed or failed. It is also unknown if the accident will prohibit her from getting her license for a certain amount of time. Stepping on the accelerator and not the brake is a common problem amongst elderly people, but for a 28-year-old? That seems a bit strange. This is likely why state police are still involved and checking into every possible scenario. Naturally it’s possible that the woman panicked and hit the pedal by mistake.

The Delaware man run over by his wife was 34-years-old. It is unknown how long he was trapped under the car or how he was rescued exactly. Obviously, he is lucky to be alive.

The girls were having a blast, listening to Taylor Swift, and getting ready for a fun night ahead when things went wrong. The driver of the car tried to pass a truck but ended up hitting another car head-on. Moreno succumbed to her injuries three hours later. The driver of the vehicle had minor injuries and is expected to be okay.
