Anna Faith Carlson: The Real-Life Queen Elsa From ‘Frozen’

If the artist who drew Queen Elsa for the animated Disney smash hit Frozen had a muse, surely that model would be named Anna Faith Carlson.

The 18-year-old stunner from Daytona Beach, Florida, is making as much as she can now about the close similarities, hoping that calling out her doppelganger status will land her the role of Queen Elsa in the Once Upon a Time show soon to be cast by ABC, according to the Daily Mail.

Carlson said she first noticed the resemblance in December, when she saw the movie. She told the Orlando Sentinel that “it’s a crazy resemblance. Every time I watch it, it’s weird because it’s like I’m watching myself. It’s kind of creepy.”

But it wasn’t until a visit to a mall in Altamonte Springs a few weeks back, when prodded into taking a picture (above) next to a cutout of Queen Elsa, that things started going viral.

“We had just finished a modeling job in Orlando,” she said, “and my mom and best friend wanted me to take a picture with the cutout. My hair was up and I looked like a mess, so I didn’t want to at first.”

Carlson, who’s done musical theater for much of her life, started modeling after high school. She was quick to parlay her surging fame into something for the stage.

Now, her sister Lexie gets in costume along with her to perform Frozen songs for children; other times, she brings friend Brittany DuFoe (below) along.

Carlson, with a subtle rise of her right eyebrow and a gentle pursing of her lips, has perfected the Queen Elsa pose. She even wore a sky-blue dress that looked like Queen Elsa’s to prom. But does she possess the pipes or acting chops to play her on film?

Here’s a video of a free performance Carlson just put on for elementary school students:

“I was told by several agencies that things would pick up after I turned 18, and they definitely have,” she said.

But whether ABC has caught whiff of Carlson’s Queen Elsa connection is still unknown. Her mother, Karen Carlson, said, “We’ve tried reaching out to them, but haven’t heard anything as of yet. We’re just not sure how to get in touch, but she would absolutely love to be on the show.”
