Meryl Davis and Maks Chmerkovskiy are still not dating, and they pretty much proved it with their latest Instagram pictures . The Dancing with the Stars duo have really gone their separate ways since the show ended. While they have become great friends, it appears as though their chemistry on the dance floor didn’t carry over to “real-life.”
Judging by their Twitter feeds, Maks and Meryl are having a great time even though they are apart. Meryl is in Hawaii, soaking up the sun, and while there were some rumors that Maks would be heading to Hawaii to join her, he actually hopped on a plane and headed to Mumbai.
Meryl Davis and Maks Chmerkovskiy have been together a couple of times since they won the Mirror Ball Trophy on Dancing with the Stars. A lot of their meetings were for the show, but, as previously reported by The Inquisitr, the two reunited for dinner last week. Maks took to Twitter to say that he finally got his “hug” from Meryl and the two posed for a photo together, reigniting dating rumors.
According to Us Weekly , there was some kissing going on — and the two certainly looked like a couple:
“Maks and Meryl were super touchy-feely, Before dinner they were in a corner talking really close. He kept kissing her on the forehead and was doting on her.”
But does this mean that the two are more than friends? Not necessarily:
“[Chmerkovskiy is] that affectionate with all women. He always acts like that. It’s how he is, very touchy-feely.”
Meryl Davis and Maks Chmerkovskiy undoubtedly had something really special while on Dancing with the Stars. It was amazing to watch them every week and their journey together was simply beautiful. Fans wanted them to get married and have babies and make their romance last a lifetime. However, it doesn’t seem those things are in the cards for the pair.
It could be their busy schedules or the fact that they are two different people who were essentially thrust upon one another for a few weeks, forced to spend countless hours in close contact. Perhaps they don’t have much in common or their chemistry isn’t that of the romantic kind.
No one really knows what is going on between Meryl and Maks when the cameras are off and the doors are closed. As much as people would love to see them together, that might never happen…
