Fox News‘ Megyn Kelly began her interview with Annette Bosworth with a bang. Or maybe a blow — a blow to Bosworth’s hopes and dreams. Bosworth, A Republican Senate candidate in South Dakota lost her primary race to former Gov. Mike Rounds.
Here’s how it all went down, per Politico.com.
Megyn Kelly began the interview by saying, “I want to start with the breaking news from The Associated Press that reports you have lost your race, and that former South Dakota Gov. Mike Rounds has prevailed in the GOP primary — your thoughts on that,” Megyn Kelly stated as Bosworth immediately appeared to be in shock.
Wow. That seems rather cold, even in the realm of journalism.
As Megyn Kelly awaited a reply, Bosworth retorted with, “Well, that’s news to me. I didn’t know that. I found out on national television,” as reported by Mediate.com. As Bosworth tried to form an answer in response to Megyn Kelly’s shocking news, she began rambling about supporting fellow candidate before hesitating a moment and stating, “That’s disappointing to me.”
Megyn Kelly kept her Fox News cool and didn’t miss a beat and even let out a little chuckle as she replied back to Bosworth with, “I’m sorry to break the news to you,” per Huffington Post.
Really Megyn? Or is this the kind of opportunity that journalists like Megyn Kelly pat themselves on the back for achieving?
Do we say Kudos to Megyn Kelly? Or Shame on Megyn Kelly?
