Looks like Benji Madden isn’t hiding his love for new girlfriend Cameron Diaz. The Good Charlotte band member stepped out with his leggy girlfriend Diaz in New York City on Tuesday. Both Diaz and Madden sported a casual look as they walked hand in hand with Starbucks coffee.
Madden, 35, and Diaz, 41, confirmed their relationship by enjoying a stroll while holding hands. They were either oblivious to the paparazzi that captured photos or just didn’t care enough to hide anything any longer.
Benji Madden is a different look for Cameron Diaz, as she’s usually seen with pretty boys on her arm. In the past Diaz has dated the likes of Justin Timberlake, Jared Leto, and Alex Rodriguez.
According to reports Cameron Diaz met Benji Madden through mutual friend Nicole Richie. Diaz’s bestie introduced Benji to Cameron, which isn’t that surprising given the fact that Richie is Benji Madden’s sister-in-law as she’s married to his twin Joel Madden.
Besides her relationship with Benji, Cameron has been in the news for expressing her views on everything from pubic hair to monogamy in order to promote her film The Other Woman . The actress also recently told US Weekly that she doesn’t really have a hard time finding the right guy.
“I don’t think you find them, I think they find you. My feeling about it is you should just be open to receiving.”
According to E! a source told them that the couple, “seemed relaxed and looked like a happy new couple.”
As far as openly talking about their relationship Benji Madden is the first of the pair to deal with the rumors. Although Diaz was promoting her film The Other Woman , rumors started circulating about the new couple after promotion wrapped up. Madden on the other hand was asked about his new relationship with Cameron while on the radio show On Air with Ryan Seacrest .
When Seacrest approached the topic Benji was playful and coy about his new relationship with the starlet. Bursting out into laughter, Madden responded :
“Well, Ryan, there’s only one way to find out. You’ve got to play Ryan’s Roses…that’s still a radio phenomenon.”
In the past Benji Madden has been linked to a bevy of blondes including socialite Paris Hilton, singer and model Sophie Monk, playboy playmate Holly Madison, and model Kara Monaco.
Benji seems to be taking cues from his brother Joel, who has been married to Richie since 2010. Joel told Ryan Seacrest that life couldn’t be any better with Nicole and their children, Harlow, 6, and Sparrow, 4.
“Everything’s great…the kids are real kids, they’re like full-grown…Life is good, I can’t complain.”
