Miesha Tate versus Shane Mosley is a UFC fight that is probably never going to happen. But if the women’s UFC fighter were to take on the box then she says she would win by choking him out.

The hypothetical match between Tate and Mosley came up when the two were being interviewed together and the reporter jokingly asked them who would win a fight. The former three-division boxing champion declared that he had no interest in punching the woman in the face, but he would not mind grappling with her. This was probably meant as some sort of joke since that idea was accompanied by an odd reference to Tate’s legs.
Miesha Tate, on the other hand, agreed that if it came to boxing that Mosley would be the winner via knock out. But she also said that if came down to MMA-style fighting she would be the winner in a grappling match. But her response was also a bit odd since she also said, “I think you’re going to have an early bed time.” We assume this means putting him to sleep in a choke hold, although she might have been responding to his innuendo.
This also happens to be the second time in recent memory that someone has proposed pitting a women’s UFC fighter against a boxing champ. Of course, the only reason anyone was talking about Ronda Rousey vs Floyd Mayweather Jr. at all is because she suggested the idea herself. She even explained how she’d take down the boxer:
“I wouldn’t even stand up, I wouldn’t even be anywhere near him. I would just do like a little army crawl over there, and he would have to run away. I would just be skittering after him like the one dude in Bloodsport that was doing the whole monkey crawl fight system. I would do that. I would just bear crawl over there too low for him to hit me, and I’d tackle him down…. I spent a lot of time [on the ground], and I doubt that he does.”
