Michelle Rodriguez And Cara Delevingne Split Over ‘Different Priorites,’ Source Says
Fast & Furious actress Michelle Rodriguez has reportedly broken up with her girlfriend, British model Cara Delevingne, according to a report from WebProNews.
A source close to the couple revealed that Rodriguez does not approve of Delevingne’s lifestyle, which consisted of constant partying and taking pictures with other women.
“Michelle got tired of Cara constantly being pictured with other female celebs,” the source said.
Some of those celebrities included Rita Ora and Jourdan Dunn, according to a report from Cosmopolitan. The source added that Michelle is someone who “isn’t as interested in being in the limelight.”
“She thinks they have different priorities,” the source said.
The 35-year-old Rodriguez and 21-year-old Delevingne were first spotted together at a New York Knicks game earlier this year. Despite the 14-year age gap between the two, they seemed to really enjoy each other’s company. Rodriguez told the Mirror back in February that their relationship was “going well.”
“When we started hanging out, I just thought she was awesome, and we have the best time together,” Rodriguez said. “She’s hard, though. You wouldn’t want to mess with her in a fight.”
Delevingne also confessed her love for Michelle Rodriguez to Digital Spy.
“I love her. She’s great,” she said.
A Cosmopolitan article from March revealed a rumor that Rodriguez and Delevingne were planning a secret wedding. While vacationing in Thailand, the two arranged a “Baci ceremony, which is also called the kwan in Thai,” a source revealed.
“They had the peaceful sunset ceremony involving a big circle of devotees chanting and offering flowers while sitting in the center of their hotel gardens,” the source said. “Their wrists were tied with white bracelets and joined together to commemorate the union.”
The source added that the ceremony Michelle and Cara had can “symbolize anything precious, like a bond or achievement, and shows how much they want to make a commitment to each other.”
Another person close to them revealed that Cara is known for doing something “crazy and impulsive.” But when it came to marrying Michelle Rodriguez, she seemed “deadly serious.”
“They’ve talked about what kind of big day they’d have,” the source added. “Cara says she wants them to wed in their own element with no priest or anyone with a religious background.”
In a related report from The Inquisitr, Michelle Rodriguez said that she wanted to star in a remake of Thelma & Louise and have Delevingne be her co-star. Other names that were mentioned to co-star with Michelle included Kristen Stewart, Leighton Meester, and Annalyne McCord.
But Michelle was really hoping to have Cara star alongside her. Now that the two have split, that could be a different story.
