Blake Shelton Remains Silent On Wife’s Gift To Huge Country Star
Blake Shelton hasn’t had much to say about his wife’s spending spree on a fellow country music star over Memorial Day weekend. Miranda Lambert, Shelton’s wife of four years and a popular country music star in her own right, purchased and gave a motorcycle to Carrie Underwood, according to Enstars.
The gift was accepted warmly, and Carrie Underwood quickly wasted no time in posting a picture of her gift on Twitter. Blake Shelton has yet to mention the gift or to say what he thinks of his wife’s gesture.
At one time, Shelton mentioned that he dislikes motorcycles to fellow judge on The Voice, Adam Levine.
According to CMT, Levine remarked, “Can you believe this guy? You shoot stuff, you live on a huge country-paradise ranch — you are country — and you don’t ride motorcycles. That’s part of the equation!”
Blake’s apparent disapproval of motorcycles, or at least his decision not to ride them, does not seem to matter in the exchange between Lambert and Underwood. Whether Shelton feels as though the motorcycle gift was inappropriate or not, most people will likely never know. It can be said that whatever goes on between Shelton and Lambert indeed does stay behind closed doors and does not overflow into their public lives. Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have repeatedly squelched rumors, talk of separation, and marital discord over the years, and just recently Blake had something to say about it.
“I would take this opportunity to say, to clear the air,” Shelton said in an interview. “You might pick up a magazine or a tabloid any day of the week that’ll say something about my relationship with Miranda, that it’s in turmoil…. And the truth is, I’ve never felt a stronger bond with… not only with her but with any other human being in my life…. Miranda and I — she’s my life.”
Blake Shelton’s sentiment in this interview has been heard several times before.
Lambert has also stated that her marriage with Shelton is as strong as ever and they regard each other as equals.
“It’s not easy when everyone is trying to tear you down, but you make a commitment and you stick to it,” Lambert said.
It is likely that whatever Blake decides to say (or not to say) in public about Miranda’s amazing gift to Carrie Underwood will not be anything negative. Shelton guards his marriage and protects it with reassuring comments about their strong relationship with one another.
