Pamela Anderson Claims Female Babysitter Raped Her, Canadian Police Investigating

Pamela Anderson claims that she was repeatedly raped by a female babysitter and several others during her youth, and now Canadian police are opening an investigation into the allegations.

Anderson grew up in Ladysmith, British Columbia, and later moved to Vancouver. The 46-year-old model and actress was speaking at the Cannes Film Festival last week when she revealed that during her formative years, she was sexually abused on a repeated basis.

“I did not have an easy childhood. Despite loving parents, I was molested from age six to 10 by my female babysitter,” Anderson said.

The abuse did not end there, Pamela Anderson claimed. In a message posted to her Pamela Anderson Foundation’s website, she offered details of other instances of abuse, writing in the style of a poem.

She wrote:

“I went to a friends boyfriends house – while she was busy. The boyfriends older brother decided he would teach me backgammon which led into a back massage which led into rape- my first heterosexual experience. He was 25 yrs old- I was 12-My first boyfriend in grade 9 decided it would be funny to gang rape me (with 6 of his friends). Needless to say I had a hard time trusting humans- I just wanted off this earth.”

Anderson said her family life was difficult, with her father an alcoholic and her mother working two jobs to support the family. Pamela said she found solace in nature and animals, which would later lead her to become an animal rights activist.

“My affinity with animals saved me,” she said. “It came to me naturally. The trees spoke to me. My loyalty was with the animal kingdom and I vowed to protect them and only them.”

Now police on Vancouver Island are looking into the allegations, and this week, they contacted Pamela Anderson by phone.

“We are aware of the recent statements made by Ms. Anderson at an event in Cannes, France,” said Cpl. Darren Lagan in an emailed statement. “Given the nature of the allegations, an investigator with the Ladysmith RCMP is in the process of reaching out to Ms. Anderson to discuss this matter with her directly.”

Pamela Anderson said she hopes her candor will help others. Her foundation also aims to support “organizations and individuals on the front lines protecting the environment, animal rights and human rights.”
