Halle Berry Stalker Arrested, Slapped with Felony

On Wednesday, Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry obtained a restraining order against a man who was arrested outside her home on two days earlier, after he was caught prowling her property for the alleged third time.

Halle, 44, says she was forced her to hire a team of armed security officers to guard her home after two previous terrifying encounters with the stalker.

The man, 27-year-old Richard Franco, was charged with felony stalking and ordered to stay 100 yards away from Berry and her young daughter upon his release.

In a sworn declaration to the court Berry wrote:

“This person has jeopardized not only my personal safety, but also the safety and well-being of my family. This person has invaded and trampled upon the most fundamental sense of security I have, and I am extremely frightened of him and what he might do to me or those I love.”

Franco, currently behind bars with bail set at $150,000, returns to court July 27th for a preliminary hearing. If convicted, he could face up to three years in prison.
