According to a Yahoo! Sports report, Canadiens star left winger Max Pacioretty had this to say headed into game 7:
“It’s sudden death now. Everything in the past will be forgotten once Game 7 rolls around. They (the Bruins) like playing in their building. We have to find a way to come out the same. We’re a frustrating team when everyone’s skating like that (in game 6) and everyone’s on board. We have to find a way to do that again.”
According to an AP report, Montreal’s P.K. Subban – who has been the story of the playoffs this year, because of his stellar play but also because of being squirted by an opposing player and racist comments made about him on Twitter by Boston fans – had this to say about headed to Boston for game 7 of the Bruins vs. Canadiens series:
“That’s what playoffs is all about, man. I hope their crowd is louder…. I hope it gets nasty, I hope it gets dirty. It’s going to be great. I can’t wait for the crowd, the noise, the energy in the building. I can’t wait to take that all away from them.”
Tonight’s game is the ninth time a Canadiens vs. Bruins playoff series has gone seven games. The Bruins won the most recent series, in 2011.
