Ariana Grande: Rihanna Wasn’t Laughing At Me During iHeartRadio Music Awards

Ariana Grande doesn’t think Rihanna was having a laugh at her expense at the recent iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Many people spotted the “Diamonds” singer chuckling while the Sam & Cat singer was rocking out on-stage at the aforementioned event. This led some folks to believe Rihanna was making fun of Grande, which obviously didn’t settle too well with some of her fans.

Take a look at a short clip of Ariana Grande doing her thing at the awards show. In addition to catching a glimpse of Rihanna’s laugh, you can see a quick shot of Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan’s infamous reaction to the performance.

According to The Boom Box, Ariana Grande addressed the situation during a recent interview on the Australian radio program The Brumo Show. In the singer’s humble opinion, Rihanna wasn’t laughing at her — she was simply shocked that Grande was doing something a little different.

“I thought it was funny that people tried to make such a commotion out of it when she was just being playful and supportive. People are always trying to make a big deal out of nothing because they’re bored.” Grande explained during her recent chat. In short: Haters need to get a hobby.

The singer added, “I didn’t see her laughing at me, but when I watched it afterwards it looked like she was just shocked because I was doing something different. Afterward she was so kind to me, she was like, ‘Lil mama, keep doing what you’re doing because it’s working.'”

Chances are Ariana Grande isn’t spending too much time worrying about those people who seem determined to drag her down. The singer’s latest release, “Problem,” a collaboration with Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, landed at the top of the Billboard Digital Songs chart. This certainly bodes well for Grande’s upcoming album, which should arrive this summer.

Azalea isn’t the only person Ariana Grande is teaming up with these days. The Inquisitr previously reported that the singer may record a tune with Justin Bieber, though it’s still unclear if the track will appear on her sophomore album.

“I’m excited about it, I’m just very excited. Justin wrote it and brought the idea to me and I was really excited to hear it and I’m excited to work with him. I’ve wanted to work with him for a while,” Grande said.

Do you think Rihanna was having a laugh at Ariana Grande’s expense during the iHeartRadio Music Awards? Are people making a big deal over absolutely nothing?
