Britney Spears Gets Slapped Right Back, But With A Law Suit

Pop sensation Britney Spears seems to have crawled in yet another law–suit. However, this time the charges are much graver.

Britney has been accused by one of her backup dancers of breaking her nose. The matter would have ended shortly afterwards, but the person was forced to file an official complaint, since Britney allegedly didn’t even pay for the hospitalization and doctor fees, as was promised.

Though the law–suit seems like a real–life role–playing of Britney’s hit song; Hit Me Baby One More Time, the results were war more tragic and painful, alleges the law suit. Filed by dancer Dawn Noel, the suit chronicles the events of the day leading up to the unfortunate and agonizing accident.

On August 19th, the dancers had been practicing for hours, before Britney showed up, ‘in a disheveled and confused state’. She couldn’t even pull–off basic dance moves and seemed to continually struggle on the practice stage. In such a condition, when Britney twirled, with both arms and hands completely extended, she apparently landed a strong smack directly on Noel’s face. The suit alleges that the cracking sound resonated across the room, but all Britney managed to come–up with was a curt ‘I’m sorry’, before immediately getting back to rehearsal, reported LA Times.

After waiting for about half–hour in excruciating pain, Noel was taken to a doc, who broke the bad news; Nasal Bone Fracture. Noel needed to get surgery to repair and re–set the bone. Many months have passed and the Britney’s management’s continual promises of reimbursing the medical and reconstructive surgery bills have gone unfulfilled, reported E–online. Britney’s album for which the rehearsal was going on, is managed by Reign Deer Entertainment.

The charges in the law suit are indeed grave. Noel has filed the law suit against Britney Spears for ‘Battery and Negligence‘. Noel is demanding a jury trial. She is suing for serious physical and emotional damages including disfigurement to her nose as well as severe emotional distress and anxiety. Noel’s lawyer Sark Ohanian said, “She’s been very patient and I don’t understand why they wouldn’t just do the right thing,”

While detailed medical history and investigations could very well follow if the judge upholds the law suit and the case goes to trial, the lawyer has claimed, because of Britney ‘assault’, his client is now suffering from breathing and sinus disorders. Moreover, the lawyer did specify, ‘She isn’t looking to get rich off this’.

Britney might have had many brushes with the law in the past, but this one could certainly have been avoided.
