Squirrel Selfie Video Shows Squirrelly Wrath

A squirrel selfie video shows how bad an idea it can be to get a little too close to nature, with one guy suffering from such squirrelly wrath that even Foamy the squirrel might be jealous.

In a related report by The Inquisitr , when a cop and squirrel got into a fight, the officer ended up macing and shooting the poor creature . Unfortunately for the cop, this was all caught on video. In another case of squirrels gone bad, on April 1 (no joke) one furry little creature caused over $300,000 in damage but in the end lost his own life.

Now the story goes that a teenager from Maine was vacationing in Tampa Bay, Florida, when he saw a squirrel on a wooden bridge on a nature trail. So he thought it might be a good idea to create a squirrel selfie :

“I approached it making a clicking noise with my tongue; phone drawn. When I got close enough, the squirrel actually tried grabbing my phone. I shook it off, then snapped this photo.”

While the actual photo turned out good the flash from the camera scared the squirrel and the rest is YouTube history:

“Next thing I knew, the squirrel was on my shoulder, then under my shirt, and then hanging off my back! This photo is courtesy of my mom, who collapsed laughing shortly after.”

After the mother finished her laughing, she helped her son fish the squirrel out. But now the rest of the world gets to enjoy laughing with her because of the squirrel selfie photo making the rounds on the internet. The good news is that although the Imgur post talks about getting a rabies shot, it turns out that squirrels don’t carry rabies.
