It’s no surprise that Beyonce Knowles is known as one of the most hard working vocalists in the industry. Named this year as one of Time magazine’s most influential people, Knowles has a fantastic reputation of being a perfectionist. In 2014 Beyonce ushered in another label that’s now synonymous with her brand — innovator.
As for Beyonce’s sister Solange Knowles, she isn’t known for standing in her sister’s shadow, but did have a few compliments for her famous sister. The 27-year-old singer and actress told ASOS magazine that her sister’s work ethic is “insane.”
‘I have never seen anything like it in my life, from anyone. It’s absolutely insane. Now that she’s become a mother, and the way that she’s able to balance that is so inspiring, If I am ever feeling like I want to open up my mouth and complain about how hard I am working, I think, “Uhhh! Sit down!”
Solange Knowles, who’s known for her hairstyles and flashy clothing style was joined by her sister Beyonce at Coachella last week during her set. Speaking of her own unique style, Solange said:
‘I might be having a little evolution in my style…it’s been a lot more subtle. I had a bit of print fatigue, it’s been a part of who I am for as long as I can remember. But you want to evolve and experiment – that’s part of the fun and the joy of being a woman.”
As for Beyonce, 2014 has been her year. As previously reported, without any warning whatsoever Beyonce managed to do the impossible that has quickly turned into the status quo for an industry that’s been failing to make albums exciting for the people that purchase them. Enter in Beyonce’s self-titled surprise album, that she released exclusively to iTunes. Her album which was accompanied by full production music videos for each track, put Knowles in a class of her own, and more importantly as an artist willing to take risks against an industry that consistently utilizing an old format that artists usually succumb to.
The full length release of the album was not only juggled with motherhood but while Beyonce was on a world tour as well, and there doesn’t seem to be a moment of rest coming her way. As we reported, Beyonce and Jay Z announced that they were teaming up for a co-headlining tour together.
The tour kicks off on July 15 in Atlanta, Georgia and finishes around August 5 in San Francisco.
