Kim Kardashian reportedly lost 50 pounds off of her curvaceous 5’2″ frame after giving birth to her first child in June of 2013 — but now she wants to drop even more weight so she looks her best, or what she thinks is her best, for her upcoming wedding to prominent rap artist Kanye West.
A date for the nuptials has not been officially confirmed, but the rumored consensus is that the 33-year-old Kim Kardashian will be getting hitched for the third time on May 24 — leaving her a little more than a month to shed that the final five pounds that sources close to the daily paparazzi subject say she has set as her goal.
Though she regularly sticks to the high-protein, low carbohydrate “Atkins” diet, Kim Kardashian is now undertaking a program of “extreme dieting,” ditching most of the items she normally consumes off of her daily menu, at least until the wedding.
This, anyway, is what is being reported on various gossip sites and in tabloid-style publications.
“Her assistant has a bag of celery sticks with her at all times,” said one such “source.” These celery sticks help Kim Kardashian avoid the temptation of eating higher-calorie foods. Celery is about 95 percent water, and a result, extremely low in calories.
Her daily intake now consists solely of lean proteins and “only green vegetables because they have more fiber,” according to the Kardashian source.
And as if chowing down on celery fed to her by a vegetable-toting assistant wasn’t enough hydration, Kardashian has also now eliminated all fluids other than the all-important H2O.
“She doesn’t really drink, but she likes a glass of red wine with dinner and coffee in the morning,” another source reported. “But her Atkins mania won’t allow her those anymore. She won’t even have a sip.”
Kim Kardashian is believed to weigh about 125 pounds currently. Her target weight of 120 is still a few notches above her pre-baby weight of 117.
