‘The Fault In Our Stars’: Full Soundtrack Listing To Be Unveiled Soon

Being released in a season that’s bombarded by action movies, comic book movies, and sequels, The Fault in Our Stars has been garnering a lot of buzz and could possibly outdo some of the bigger-budgeted films. The drama, based on John Green’s bestselling novel, centers around two unconventional teenagers (Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort) that meet at a cancer support group and fall in love.

Fans of The Fault in Our Stars have been given the opportunity to appear in a music video for the upcoming film, but it has yet to be revealed which artist will be making a video for the film. However, a few artists have announced via social media that they will have original songs for the film’s official soundtrack.

Hypable reported that Charli XCX, Birdy, Grouplove, and Lykke Li all revealed the song titles for their contributions to the soundtrack for The Fault in Our Stars with the hashtag #TFIOSmusic. Some of the artists even shared a lyric from their song.

The movie’s official Twitter page retweeted each announcement and also shared exclusive art for the songs by Birdy, Grouplove, and Charli XCX. The complete list of artists to be featured on the soundtrack will be unveiled on April 12.

Back in March, Ed Sheeran hinted that he may be on the Fault in Our Stars soundtrack, when he tweeted the film’s title and nothing else. Since then, Sheeran has yet to come forward about his possible involvement. But that could change when the official soundtrack list is revealed.

Charli XCX’s song, “Boom Clap,” has already surfaced on the internet via MTV.com, and people can listen to it right now. Woodley and Elgort will be at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, April 13, to share an exclusive clip from The Fault in Our Stars during the pre-show, and the two will also present an award during the ceremony.

A recent report from The Inquisitr said that The Fault in Our Stars fans can also demand Woodley, Elgort, Green, and Nat Wolff to visit their city in the “Demand Our Stars” contest. People can vote for their city on the film’s official Tumblr page.

The Fault of Our Stars will open on June 6 and will compete against Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, who star in the Doug Liman-directed sci-fi film, Edge of Tomorrow. Both Woodley and Elgort were recently onscreen together in Divergent, and there’s a good chance that fans of that film and book series may show interest in seeing the two actors together in something different.
