Emma Stone Continues Spice Girls Obsession As Interview Gets Hijacked By Sporty Spice [Video]
Another interview with Emma Stone, another hijacking from a beloved Spice Girl. By now everyone who is familiar with Emma Stone and what’s been happening with her Amazing Spider-Man 2 promotion, knows that Emma is a huge Spice Girls fan and will tear up at the mention of them.
During a recent interview with her beau and co-star Andrew Garfield, Mel C, aka Sporty Spice, decided to hijack the interview while the adorable couple were promoting their new film on Capital FM. During the interview, Mel C surprised Emma by popping up via FaceTime from her mother’s house to give the Spice Girls enthusiast a quick hello.
Emma Stone, who clearly can’t hide her emotions when the Spice Girls are involved, was flabbergasted and amazed by the awesome surprise that Capital FM and Mel C orchestrated. Mel C, who was aware that Mel B hijacked an interview of Emma’s two weeks ago, jokingly apologized to the actress. “I have to apologize for the Spice Girls hijacking all of your promos!”
As we previously reported, two weeks ago Emma Stone was in tears when she got a surprise from Mel B, aka Scary Spice, in the form of a voice message on Australia’s 2Day FM. While she watched the message from Mel B, Emma exclaimed, “Oh my god, is Mel B talking to me? Oh my god, I’m so excited. I’m legitimately crying. I’m the biggest Spice Girls fan ever.” After Stone pulled herself together, she burst out into the Spice Girls song “Wannabe.”
This time around, Emma Stone was still excited and tearful but she kept it more together than her last Spice Girls hijacking. Mel C also delivered a message from Stone’s favorite Spice Girl, Emma Bunton, aka Baby Spice. “I know she’s your favorite, and she said she still has all her babydoll dresses if you ever wanna pop by and try them on.”
Emma not missing a beat enthusiastically responded “Yes! I would love to!” After the FaceTime call with Mel C was finished, Stone, who was still in shock, said that she was “so happy” and thought the whole thing was “the coolest ever.” The Amazing Spider-Man 2 star revealed afterward, “Oh my God! I’m shaking!”
Emma’s longtime boyfriend and co-star Andrew Garfield sat next to his starstruck love and witnessed it all. Garfield seemed into the Spice Girl hijacking, and took joy in Emma’s mini freak out as he echoed his girlfriend’s sentiments. After the call was over Garfield admitted, “That’s amazing. Amazing!”
