Luke Bryan has had one heck of a year, and it seems to only be getting better. The country super star has been nominated for several Billboard Music Awards according to Taste of Country . CMT News reported that Luke Bryan has a total of seven nominations in six categories.
Luke holds a nomination in all the country categories, as well as several all-genre categories according to Taste of Country . “In addition to his pick in Top Billboard 200 Album, Bryan can be found in Top Male Artist and Top Billboard 200 Artist.”
Of course, Luke isn’t the only super star with quite a few nominations. In fact, he may not even be the hottest artist there, according to a report by the New York Daily News . Reports state that newcomers Lorde and Imagine Dragons are the top two contenders for this years Billboard Music Awards.
According to People , both artists have earned “nods” in 12 categories for breakthrough records , including Lorde’s album, Pure Heroine, and Imagine Dragons’ Night Visions. The report continues on to say that other first time finalists this year will include Avicii, Capital Cities, Zedd, and Sidewalk Prophets.
The Billboard Music Awards is set to air live on May 18th at 8pm ET. Will you be cheering for Country super star Luke Bryan or one of the other many talented finalists ?
