‘Captain America 2’ Secret Ending: How The End Credits Scene Will Affect ‘Avengers 2’

The Captain America 2 secret ending has everyone wondering what the implications for the Avengers 2 movie will be.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, when filming for Avengers: Age Of Ultron began last the crew found a real dead body floating in the river underneath the Mapo Bridge in South Korea. Some people are also wondering how the Black Widow filming was effected since Scarlett Johansson is pregnant.

At this point you should know there will be spoilers since I have to reference some of the events of the movie in order to continue. So with that warning out of the way…

Joss Whedon, who is directing Avengers 2, was also the director the Captain America 2 end credits scene, so that should tell us something in of itself. The bonus scene starts with two Hydra scientists, including Baron Von Strucker, discussing the fall of SHIELD and how that will affect their plans. We also get a quick glimpse of the science team experimenting on the scepter of Loki, which apparently has some sort of Infinity Stone embedded into the staff. If that’s the case there’s debate over which one it could be but considering how Avengers 1 played out some believe it’s the Mind gem.

But what probably has most people guessing is the two “twins” referenced during the Captain America 2 secret ending. We see two people locked away in cells: a man with Flash-like speed and a woman who is manipulating blocks with her mind. It’s believed these two Avengers 2 characters are Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, who are played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen, respectively.

Of course, if you watched until the very end you to get to see the Winter Soldier aka James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes attending a Captain America exhibit at the Smithsonian Museum. Since this would confirm that Cap was telling him the truth then it’s possible the Winter Soldier may return for Avengers 2 as a hero instead of a villain. We also know this character will definitely return because actor Sebastian Stan, who plays as Bucky, signed a nine-movie deal with Marvel whereas Chris Evans, who plays Steve Rogers, only signed up for six films. In the comics, Bucky eventually ends up replacing Rogers as Captain America so it’s possible the movies may go in the same direction.

Do you have your own theories for the Captain America 2 secret ending?
