Watch Michigan Vs. Tennessee Basketball Live Online, 2014 NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen

Fans can watch the Michigan vs. Tennessee basketball game live online and see a battle between a player and coach who know each other very well.

Tennessee coach Cuonzo Martin was roommates with Glenn Robinson at Purdue, and the two remained close after graduation. Martin followed along as Glenn's son, Glenn Robinson III, turned from a promising youngster into a budding prep star and top college recruit.

Now Martin must face off against Robinson, who has led the Michigan Wolverines back to the Sweet Sixteen with a return trip to the National Championship game in sight.

Michigan and Tennessee will face off Friday at 7:15 pm from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The winner will advance through to the Elite Eight.

Martin said he is going into the game with mixed emotions as he must find a way to beat the player he has watched develop for the past decade.

"I'm happy for him and it will be fun playing against him," Martin said Thursday. "Of course, we'd like to get the win, but I'm happy to see where he's come, how far he's come as a basketball player. He's a great kid."

The feeling is mutual with Robinson.

"He's a great family friend. I know my mom and grandma are close with him and his family," Robinson III said. "Great guy, and it's just funny how things work out."

Fans who watch the Michigan vs. Tennessee basketball game live online will get to see the Volunteers take on their toughest opponent since a March 15 loss to Florida in the SEC tournament. Michigan reached the Final Four last year, and Robinson III turned down a chance to enter the NBA draft in the hope of leading the team back.

The Wolverines enter the game with an efficient and high-scoring offense, finishing second in the Big Ten in field goal percentage (47.5) and third in scoring (74.0).

But the Volunteers have been quite capable on defense this year, limiting opponents to 61.4 points per game on 41 percent shooting. They've held their last 11 opponents to fewer than 70 points.
