Amanda Bynes: Happy As Can Be At FIDM Debut Runway Show

Amanda Bynes has been in and out of treatment since last July, and has been undergoing rehabilitation as widely reported in the media. But she looked better than ever at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in L.A. – where she is now enrolled – looking smiley with her parents.

She showed up at the event, dressed appropriately, in a simple black top and white pants. Her hair looking very blonde, and styled in loose curls.

Sydney Taylor, a second year student also at the event, told People magazine: “Debut showcases the work of students in the advanced program. Everyone from current students to industry professionals attends. Amanda looked beautiful and is so sweet. She was being very discreet about being there but smilingly hugged anyone who asked to meet her.”

Another guest at the event also extolled the virtues of Amanda Bynes: “Amanda looks like she’s getting back to normal. She looked good and was being friendly,” said Siera Parker.

Janessa Chase told Us magazine what she thought of Amanda’s appearance at the show: “Amanda got there about 20 minutes before the fashion show started. She looked really good! She was sitting front row at the end of the runway. She was laughing and smiling when she was talking with the people in her group.”

Amanda Bynes’ mother, Lynn, has had her daughter’s back since last August when the young star was placed on an emergency psychiatric hold after a mental meltdown. She was granted a conservatorship over her daughter at the time.

After spending all that time undergoing treatment, Bynes is now residing with her parents who can keep an eye on her and look after her well-being.

Lynn’s attorney told reporters, following Amanda Bynes’ release from the Malibu treatment facility, that Amanda was: “very happy to re-establish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared.”
